Volleyball Recap: The O'neal School Comes Up Short at Home Against Sandhills Classical Christian

The O'Neal School unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Sandhills Classical Christian Lions on Friday.

While The O'Neal School ultimately came up short, they really made Sandhills Classical Christian work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 25-13.

Sandhills Classical Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devina Sherwood, who had 12 digs. Another player making a difference was Jersi Olsen, who had seven digs and three aces.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The O'Neal School will take on Village Christian Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sandhills Classical Christian, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
