The First Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders will face off against the Calvary Christian Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Calvary Christian Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on First Baptist Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

First Baptist Christian Academy proved they can win big on February 11th (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Florida Christian Academy, sneaking past 5-4.

Brendan Calderon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Calderon was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Busler, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Hurry, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Geneva, falling 18-0.

First Baptist Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
