Basketball Game Preview: Scotia-Glenville Tartans vs. Broadalbin-Perth Patriots

The Scotia-Glenville Tartans will head out to challenge the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scotia-Glenville will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Scotia-Glenville is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Amsterdam on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Scotia-Glenville took a blow against Amsterdam, falling 71-40. While losing is never fun, the Tartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 609th, while the Rams are ranked 76th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Broadalbin-Perth). They walked away with a 57-49 victory over Schuylerville on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Scotia-Glenville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Broadalbin-Perth, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Scotia-Glenville won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, slipping by Broadalbin-Perth 61-60. Will Scotia-Glenville repeat their success, or does Broadalbin-Perth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
