The Chula Vista Spartans will head out to take on the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chula Vista's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, Chula Vista and Otay Ranch finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. That draw made it three straight for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Mater Dei Catholic hasn't lost a match since December 13, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They never let Castle Park onto the board and left with a 2-0 win.
