Basketball Recap: Wright Comes Up Short

Wright was the 22-21 winner over Ursuline Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Wright fell just short of Ursuline Academy by a score of 38-35 on Thursday.

Emma Dunkin was the offensive standout of the game as she posted 17 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ursuline Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Culotta, who scored seven points.

Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ursuline Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.

Wright does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ursuline Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Newman at 5:00 p.m.
