Baseball Recap: Meadowdale's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Meadowdale came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Sedro-Woolley Cubs on Friday.

Andre Titus and Kealoha Kepo'O-Sabate were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Titus pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Kepo'O-Sabate struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. At the plate, Titus scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Kepo'O-Sabate scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ben Webster, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

The victory got Meadowdale back to even at 1-1. As for Sedro-Woolley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadowdale will head out to challenge Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sedro-Woolley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Marysville-Pilchuck at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
