 The Hudsonville Eagles lost against the Rockford Rams back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. Hudsonville's  tough  59-38 defeat to Rockford  might stick with them for a while. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hudsonville in their matchups with Rockford: they've now lost five in a row.
 Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Allyson Merrihew, who  scored six points along with two  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josie Desmit, who  scored 15 points along with three  steals.
 Hudsonville has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record  this season. As for Rockford, the  win was  the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.
 Hudsonville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game, a  57-53  defeat vs. West Ottawa on the 16th. Rockford has also already played their next match, a  62-54  victory against East Kentwood on the 16th.
