Preview: Torrance Tartars vs. Ramona Rams
The Torrance Tartars will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Ramona Rams at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Torrance sitting on six straight wins and Ramona on four.
West Covina typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday Torrance proved too difficult a challenge. Torrance took down West Covina 23-7.
Meanwhile, with a playoff game on the line, Ramona rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 38-17 margin over the Bears. Ramona might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Ramona got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeremiah Acosta out in front who threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Torrance has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Ramona, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
