Eagle Pass hadn't done well against Laredo LBJ recently (they were 0-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagle Pass Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Laredo LBJ Wolves a 2-0 shutout. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Wolves are ranked 495th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eagle Pass pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six contests. As for Laredo LBJ, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
