Basketball Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Harvest Christian Academy was the 66-56 winner over Woodstock when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Harvest Christian Academy Lions took a 63-44 bruising from the Woodstock Blue Streaks on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Harvest Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Elijah Bell dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, Bell is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Foster, who posted eight points.

Harvest Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Woodstock, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvest Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on College Prep of America at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Woodstock, they will head out on the road to take on North Boone at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
