Baseball Recap: Holyoke Comes Up Short

Holyoke was the 18-6 winner over Caliche when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Holyoke lost 20-10 to Caliche on Thursday. Even if the Dragons couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Irving Dominguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Bodhyn Ring, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Holyoke dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Caliche, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Holyoke will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Wiggins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Holyoke is facing Wiggins at the right time seeing as Wiggins is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Caliche, they will take on Haxtun at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Caliche their first taste of in-conference action this season.
