Recap: Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers vs. Piedmont Academy Cougars
The Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers were the 64-53 winner over the Piedmont Academy Cougars when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Central Fellowship Christian Academy lost to Piedmont Academy on the road by a decisive 58-40 margin on Wednesday.
It was another big night for Marissa Holder, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 20 rebounds for Piedmont Academy. The game was Holder's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kylee Keck, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Central Fellowship Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Piedmont Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Central Fellowship Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face First Preparatory Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. Piedmont Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Windsor Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th. Windsor Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 505th, while Piedmont Academy is ranked 176th).
