Basketball Game Preview: Seymour Panthers vs. Cooper Bulldogs

The Seymour Panthers will challenge the Cooper Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Seymour will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak.

Seymour is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They managed a 59-54 victory over Bosqueville.

Meanwhile, Cooper had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Hornets as they made off with a 49-28 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Cooper's win came from a few key players Seymour will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jequan Brown, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 16 points and three steals. What's more, he also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Adryean Mapps was another key player, putting up 14 points and five rebounds.

Cooper pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points over those games. As for Seymour, their win bumped their record up to 29-3.
