Recap: Curtis Baptist Crusaders vs. Horse Creek Academy Stallions
The Curtis Baptist Crusaders can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They blew past Horse Creek Academy 69-40 at home. The win was nothing new for Curtis Baptist as they're now sitting on three straight.
Curtis Baptist's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Shine, who scored 22 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Shine is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chas Beasley, who scored 21 points along with five assists.
Curtis Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Horse Creek Academy, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Curtis Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mead Hall Episcopal School at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Mead Hall Episcopal School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Horse Creek Academy, they will be playing at home against Northside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
