With a playoff win on the line, Glenwood rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 40-7 win over the Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Leading Glenwood to victory were Trey Claridy and Nate Malone. Claridy rushed for 154 yards and three scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, while Malone rushed for 166 yards and one TD while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. What's more, Claridy racked up 76 passing yards, the most he's had since back in August.

Glenwood didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Trinity Presbyterian to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Zayden Hart for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Glenwood; they were averaging 62.7%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 62.7%.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Glenwood, bringing their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they moved to 9-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Glenwood will take on Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten games. Trinity Presbyterian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
