Volleyball Recap: Salisbury Christian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Salisbury Christian and Rockbridge Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Salisbury Christian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Scots by a score of 3-2. While Salisbury Christian didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Rockbridge Academy 25-19 in the first set.

Salisbury Christian actually scored more points across those five sets (103-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-22, 15-10.

It was another big night for Ella Spraul, who had 27 kills, 21 digs, seven aces, and three blocks for Rockbridge Academy. Spraul is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season. Sophie Devoto was another key player, getting nine digs, four aces, and one block.

Salisbury Christian's loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Rockbridge Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Salisbury Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Sts. Peter & Paul on the 22nd. Rockbridge Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
