Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Crosby

Liberty is 0-6 against Crosby since January of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Liberty challenge the Crosby at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Liberty's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Hardin-Jefferson as Liberty made off with an 8-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Crosby entered their tilt with Texas City on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Stingarees 4-0. Considering the Cougars have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Crosby has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those six matchups. As for Liberty, the win got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Liberty might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Crosby in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Can Liberty avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
