Football Game Preview: Denham Springs vs. Belaire

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Belaire should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Denham Springs at 7:00 PM. Denham Springs will be strutting in after a win while Belaire will be stumbling in from a loss.

Belaire took a serious blow against Brusly last week, falling 0-39. Belaire were down by 0-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Denham Springs, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They walked away with a 37-29 victory over Fontainebleau.

Belaire's defeat took them down to 1-2 while Denham Springs's win pulled them up to 2-1. In their win, Denham Springs relied heavily on junior Luke Lunsford, who passed for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. Belaire will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
