Springfield has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,428 points over their last 19 contests.
Even though New Ulm Cathedral scored an imposing 74 points on Monday, Springfield still came out on top. Springfield snuck past New Ulm Cathedral with a 80-74 victory.
It was another big night for Brayden Sturm, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Springfield's points. Another player making a difference was Noah Vogel, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 87-54 loss at the hands of Minnesota Valley Lutheran.
Springfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
