Soccer Recap: Daphne Comes Up Short

Daphne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Fairhope Pirates who were credited with the win. The Fairhope Pirates got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Daphne Trojans' three. Daphne were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Fairhope earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Daphne's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-2. As for Fairhope, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-1.

Daphne has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 loss against Grissom on the 29th. As for Fairhope, they will be playing at home against Foley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
