            Softball Recap: Brooklyn Hurricanes vs. Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            Brooklyn extended their losing streak  to three  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-4 in the process. They came up short against  the Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves, falling  13-1. The Hurricanes were not able to make up for their  loss to the Red Wolves from their previous meeting  back in April of 2021.
As for Cuyahoga Heights,  the  win  got them back to even at 6-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six  runs or more this season.
For Cuyahoga Heights' part, they got a great performance from  Skylar Sane as she  struck out 12 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. With that strong performance,  Sane is now averaging an impressive 5.4  strikeouts per game.
 At the plate,  Luci Ross and  Addison Bohning did most of the damage at the plate:  Ross  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  triples, three  runs,  and three  RBI, while  Bohning  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  run. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Bohning a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aly Williams, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brooklyn will  face off against  rival Lutheran West  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Cuyahoga Heights is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Independence  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
