Softball Recap: Gila Ridge Hawks vs. Valley Vista Monsoon

Gila Ridge never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Valley Vista Monsoon as the Gila Ridge Hawks made off with an 18-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Violet Silva made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
