Volleyball Game Preview: Benton Rangers vs. Vienna Eagles

The Benton Rangers will venture away from home to face off against the Vienna Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Benton's tournament run continued when they took on Wesclin on Saturday. The Rangers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Benton sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-16, 18-25, 17-15.

Meanwhile, Vienna was able to grind out a solid victory over Christopher on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Vienna never let Christopher on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17.

Vienna's victory bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.

Benton was able to grind out a solid win over Vienna when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
