Softball Recap: Montpelier Takes a Loss

Montpelier entered their game against Edgerton on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Locomotives fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. The Locomotives were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Montpelier saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyn Hopper, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Montpelier now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Edgerton, their record now sits at 6-2.

Montpelier didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 34-1 victory against Stryker on the 15th. As for Edgerton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-0 win against North Central on the 14th.
