Football Recap: Briarwood Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Briarwood Christian's offense. They were beaten by the Homewood Patriots 27-0 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 28-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Kaleb Carson was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 174 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 56 yards. Reid Goldstein was in the mix too, providing Homewood with two scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Briarwood Christian and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Homewood, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Briarwood Christian and Homewood will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Lions are set to face off against their familiar foe Ramsay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Homewood will square off against rival Mortimer Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
