Softball Recap: Ravenscroft Comes Up Short

Ravenscroft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-4 to the Franklin Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-8 on March 4th.

Jesi Porfirio made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Ravenscroft's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Franklin Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Ravenscroft wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-3 defeat against North Raleigh Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Franklin Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Oxford Prep on the 21st.
