            Volleyball Recap: Mercer County Golden Eagles vs. Farmington Farmers        
        
		
        
        
            Mercer County won the last time they faced Farmington and  Sarah Hofmann did her part to make sure it happened again. The Golden Eagles walked away with  a   2-0  win over the Farmers  on Wednesday thanks in part to  Hofmann, who  had six  aces and four  assists. She is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served two or more in each of the last three games she's  played.
 The  2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mercer County was: they took both sets by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9,  25-7.

Mercer County's victory  ended  a  four-match drought on the road  and  puts them at 10-14. As for Farmington, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record  this season.
 Coincidentally, Mercer County and Farmington will both be playing Monmouth-Roseville the next time they take the court. The Farmers will head out to face the Titans at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while the Golden Eagles will  host them  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
