Volleyball Recap: Chetopa Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After losing to Southern Coffey County the last time they met, Chetopa decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hornets skirted past the Titans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted against the Titans since October 16, 2018.

Chetopa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-19, 25-19.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooke Marlow, who had six aces.

Chetopa's win ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 2-26-1. As for Southern Coffey County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-28 record this season.

Chetopa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Coffey County, they will head out to take on Waverly on Tuesday.
