Soccer Game Preview: St. Catherine's vs. Christchurch School

The St. Catherine's Saints are taking a road trip to challenge the Christchurch School Seahorses at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Catherine's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for St. Catherine's offense. They came up short against Collegiate on Friday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, St. Catherine's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Collegiate are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Christchurch School also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 5-0 to St. Anne's-Belfield on Saturday.

St. Catherine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Christchurch School, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

St. Catherine's might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Christchurch School in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Saints avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
