Basketball Recap: Fox Creek Skates Past Silver Bluff with Ease

There's no place like home for Fox Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Silver Bluff Bulldogs 72-40 on Tuesday. The Predators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Kobe Sims was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 18 en route to 25 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Justin Vining, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 15 points and six assists.

Fox Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Bluff only posted five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Silver Bluff lost, don't look at Deshawn Wells. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. Zyrell Williamson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Fox Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Silver Bluff, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Fox Creek and Silver Bluff will both be playing Newberry the next time they take the court. Silver Bluff will head out to face Newberry at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Fox Creek will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
