Baseball Recap: Heritage Hills Patriots vs. Boonville Pioneers
With a playoff win on the line, Heritage Hills rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Boonville Pioneers. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Peyton Gray was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four games. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Andersen Smith was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Heritage Hills' win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Boonville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
Looking ahead, Heritage Hills will face off against Evansville Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 4, the Tigers 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Boonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
