Baseball Game Preview: Eaton Eagles vs. Coldwater Cavaliers

The Eaton Eagles will challenge the Coldwater Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eaton has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 20.

Eaton lost 11-1 to Edgewood on Monday.

Eaton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Overholtz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Overholtz has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played.

Meanwhile, Coldwater entered their matchup against St. John's on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cavaliers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluejays.

Eaton's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Coldwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-3.

Eaton came out on top in a nail-biter against Coldwater in their previous matchup back in May of 2021, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
