Basketball Game Preview: Racine Lutheran Crusaders vs. Wilmot Panthers

Racine Lutheran and Wilmot are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Racine Lutheran Crusaders will head out to face off against the Wilmot Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Racine Lutheran and 28 for Wilmot dating back to last season.

Last Saturday, Racine Lutheran was beaten by St. Thomas More 71-14. The matchup marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-29, which was the final score in Wilmot's tilt against Badger on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Badgers are ranked 171st).

Wilmot's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Racine Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Racine Lutheran might still be hurting after the 53-33 loss they got from Wilmot in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Racine Lutheran avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
