Baseball Recap: Damonte Ranch Falls Short of Mcqueen in the Playoffs

Damonte Ranch and McQueen squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Damonte Ranch had to settle for second. They fell 6-3 to the Lancers. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Damonte Ranch got a good showing from Samny DeSouza, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. DeSouza has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Matt Schreiner and RJ Moffett stepped up to the plate in a big way. Schreiner got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI, while Moffett got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Damonte Ranch's loss was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-19. As for McQueen, the win got them back to even at 15-15-1.

As of now, neither Damonte Ranch nor the Lancers have any future games scheduled.
