Football Recap: Spoto Spartans vs. Davenport Broncos
Spoto had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Davenport Broncos 38-19 on Friday.
Z'Orey Cotton was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 255 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Spoto was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 431 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Davenport only gained 55.
When it comes to explaining why Davenport lost, don't look at Carl Jean-Bart. Despite the final result, he picked up 143 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Spoto will face off against Lennard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Davenport, they will challenge Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
