Soccer Game Preview: Natrona County vs. Green River

The Natrona County Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Green River Wolves at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Natrona County is leaving town to face Green River after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Mustangs fell just short of Jackson Hole by a score of 2-1 back in March. Natrona County fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Jackson Hole since back in March.

Meanwhile, Green River faced Rock Springs in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Wolves blew past the TIGERS 5-1. Considering Green River have won three contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Rock Springs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brookelyn Phillips (3), Olivia Morris, and Isa Vasco.

Natrona County beat Green River 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
