Sacred Heart Academy came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Amity Regional, but Julia Capecelatro wouldn't allow it. The Spartans came out on top against the Sharks by a score of 3-1 on Monday with plenty of help from Capecelatro, who had 16 digs and three aces. Capecelatro is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Amity Regional had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Leading Amity Regional to victory were Lily Simons and Calleigh Parkin. Simons had 22 digs and three aces, while Parkin had 16 digs and 12 kills. What's more, Simons posted four assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good servers: Amity Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces every time they've taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why Sacred Heart Academy lost, don't look at JJ Kirck. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and two assists.

Amity Regional's record now sits at 11-3. As for Sacred Heart Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.
