Sacred Heart Academy came into Monday's match looking for another win against Amity Regional, but Julia Capecelatro wouldn't allow it. The Spartans walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sharks on Monday thanks in part to Capecelatro, who had 16 digs and three aces. Capecelatro is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Amity Regional had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Amity Regional was led to victory by Lily Simons and Calleigh Parkin. Simons had 22 digs and three aces, while Parkin had 16 digs and 12 kills. What's more, Simons posted four assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good servers: Amity Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Amity Regional's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Sacred Heart Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amity Regional will welcome Cheshire at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they will challenge Lauralton Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sharks are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
