Soccer Game Preview: Shadow Hills vs. Rancho Mirage

The Shadow Hills Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Rancho Mirage Rattlers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Shadow Hills is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Rancho Mirage better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Shadow Hills really get things going. Shadow Hills put the hurt on Palm Desert with a sharp 5-2 victory on Wednesday. Isaiah Tello was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Rancho Mirage fought the good fight in their overtime contest against La Quinta on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Rattlers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Shadow Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those eight matches. As for Rancho Mirage, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4-3.

Shadow Hills came up short against Rancho Mirage in their previous meeting on January 15th, falling 3-1. Can Shadow Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
