Basketball Recap: Wood River Takes a Loss

Wood River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-30 loss at the hands of the Teton Timberwolves. The game marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sully Carter, who posted ten points. Wyatt Crego was another key player, putting up eight points.

Teton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Nelson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Burke Nelson, who put up 15 points and eight rebounds.

Wood River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Teton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Wood River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-48 loss against Idaho Falls on the 3rd. As for Teton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-42 defeat against Evanston on the 3rd.
