Douglass waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They pulled ahead with a 65-64 photo finish over the North County Knights.

Douglass' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makhye McKnight, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 18 points. That's the most points McKnight has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Ami Rios, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Douglass' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for North County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Douglass will take on Bowie at 3:20 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Douglass' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for North County, they will face off against Severn Run at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. North County is facing Severn Run at the right time seeing as Severn Run is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
