Softball Recap: Campbell-Savona Comes Up Short

Campbell-Savona was the 9-4 winner over Canisteo-Greenwood when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Chargers on Thursday, falling 9-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kali Maddock was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Olivia Zimar was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Campbell-Savona's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Campbell-Savona will welcome Naples at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Bolivar-Richburg at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
