Softball Recap: Hayden Drops Highest Score of Season Against San Simon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hayden). They blew past the San Simon Longhorns 25-11 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Hayden and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for San Simon, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hayden will take on Ray at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayden's pitchers better be ready for this one: Ray has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for San Simon, they will face off against St. David at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. St. David will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something San Simon surely won't give up without a fight.
