Baseball Game Preview: Sequoyah Eagles vs. Tahlequah Tigers

The Sequoyah Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Tahlequah Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Sequoyah fell victim to Piedmont and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

While Tahlequah didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Nathan Hale with a sharp 15-3 victory on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Tahlequah's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Sequoyah, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Sequoyah might still be hurting after the 12-4 defeat they got from Tahlequah in their previous matchup back in March of 2020. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
