Softball Recap: East Aurora Takes a Loss

East Aurora was the 10-9 winner over Griffith Institute when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Griffins on Friday.

Sage Rozanski put in work no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and nine unearned) runs off nine hits. Rozanski was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rozanski wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Caelan Legg, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

East Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Griffith Institute, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Aurora will take on Alden at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven games. As for Griffith Institute, they will square off against Lake Shore at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
