Softball Recap: Crooksville Falls Short of Ridgewood in the Playoffs

Crooksville and Ridgewood squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Crooksville had to settle for second. They fell 5-2 to the Generals.

Elyse Baker spent all 11 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 13 hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, Crooksville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Frame, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Crooksville's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Ridgewood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9-1.

As of now, neither Crooksville nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
