Salem Academy came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the St. Paul Buckaroos. 12 seems to be a good number for the Crusaders as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Salem Academy pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Paul, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem Academy will take on Western Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Paul, they will head out to challenge Colton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
