Basketball Recap: Troy Comes Up Short

Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 66-45 to the Sonora Raiders. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 59-56.

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Sonora, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-15 record this season.

Troy and Sonora could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Troy will challenge Villa Park at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 580 places (765 vs. 185). Meanwhile, Sonora (ranked 489th) will meet Yorba Linda (ranked 161st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
