Indian Creek and Owen Valley pushed the score to 17-3 the last time they played Owen Valley, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Braves won by a run and slipped past the Patriots 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Indian Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Harden, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Harden has hit this season.

Indian Creek's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Owen Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Creek will head out to face off against Shelbyville at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Owen Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Sullivan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
