Basketball Game Preview: Campolindo Cougars vs. Mt. Diablo Red Devils

The Campolindo Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Mt. Diablo Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Campolindo saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Branson. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dublin. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Gaels are ranked 85th).

Campolindo's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Mt. Diablo, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Campolindo might still be hurting after the 40-18 defeat they got from Mt. Diablo in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Campolindo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
